Abstract: In 32 adult, artificially inseminated Barbari does, cell stage and location of embryos were studied in relation to the time interval after onset of estrus. Embryos, on the average, developed to the 2-, 8- and 16-cell stage after 24, 48 and 96 h after the onset of estrus, respectively. Most of the embryos reached the uterus at 120 h after the onset of estrus and the mean diameter of the embryo seldom changed until that time. Of the embryos and ova recovered (n = 68), .apprx. 94% were fertilized and 12% among the fertilized were abnormal. |
